5th Grade - Earth & Space Science - NGSS
Students develop a model to describe ways that the geosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere interact. They describe and graph data to provide evidence about the distribution of water on Earth.
Anchor Phenomenon: There is a floating island of plastic in the ocean.
Driving Question: What is the effect of humans on the land, air, water, and living things? What can a 5th grader do to reduce their impact on the land, water, air, and living things?
Engineering Design Challenge: Develop a solution to reduce the effect of agriculture, industry, and everyday life on land, vegetation, air, and bodies of water.
Ordering Updates We have streamlined our ordering process. Our individual catalogs and order forms have been replaced by a single Interactive Order Form. This Excel spreadsheet contains our complete product catalog and includes dedicated tabs for Trade Books, Spanish Journals, Quick Orders, and individual unit orders, with each tab automatically calculating order totals as you enter quantities. To place an order, download the form, fill in your desired quantities in the appropriate tab, and email the completed file to suzan@bcamsc.org. If you do not have Microsoft Excel, the form can also be opened using Google Sheets.
