MSLNG2 - Body Systems for Growth and Repair

Middle School - Life Science - NGSS

In Body Systems for Growth and Repair, middle school students continue their explorations into structure, function, and information processing in living things through investigations of cells, different types of cells, and human body systems. Students will discover how different body systems have different functions that work together and that different types of cells have different functions. Students will ask questions, plan and design investigations, conduct research to obtain, evaluate, and relate information, and develop models to answer their questions.

Investigations and information gathering throughout this unit will help students to answer the basic questions of “How does the body repair itself?,” “What is the function of different cells in growth and repair?,” and “How do the different body systems work together to help the body repair itself?”
